Monday 30th January 2012
It has been a quiet month in the Loft which is understandable considering the general economic climate and many hotels are offering fantastic deals which we can't hope to compete with. What we can offer you is clearly documented by our previous guests and recorded in the visitor's book. Walk, cycle or drive out of the gate and you will be in the Forest. Return home to warm comfortable accommodation in the winter or in the summer, take a dip in the swimming pool before dining al fresco by the poolside.
Monday 23rd January 2012
The first of the daffodils is just opening up and will join the camelia, primulas and primroses that have adorned the garden throughout the last month.

As a seasonal gesture and to encourage you to book now and secure the dates of your choice we are halving our deposit from 50% to 25% - be quick though as we plan to return to a 50% deposit soon.

Tuesday 11th October 2011
The pannage season is here and the pigs are out and about searching for acorns under the golden carpets of leaves that adorn the woodland floor. We have been entertained by a group of 12 little 'porkies' who have been all around the cottage this last week! (Acorns are dangerous for the horses and cattle to eat so each Autumn the pigs are encouraged out on to the forest to act as mini 'Dysons'!)
Tuesday 27th September 2011
We have released dates for our 2012 season today. Some time ago we decided not to permit bookings with children and after much soul searching and debate we have decided to extend this to infants as well for 2012.

Friday 29th July 2011
Our guests have told us that this website does not do The Loft credit! In reply we would rather that our guests were delighted with what they found when they arrived rather than build up their expectations and then be disappointed. However we are taking steps to make changes - after all this site has served us well for four years!
Wednesday 27th July
We don't know what it is about the Loft in the Forest but this week has seen another engagement occur. We wish the delightful couple a wonderful life together.

Friday 17th June 2011
When we opened the Loft we invested in some seating from the Bean Bag Bazaar and were uncertain about its suitability for our guests. Now four years on we have just replaced them with the same product because in all this time we have not received any adverse comments! Why not book and assess their suitability for yourself?!
